Two furniture pieces were created thanks to the collaboration with Fundació Arrels, a foundation based in Barcelona that takes in homeless people and gives them a tools to start over. Our six people team worked together with Kweku - age 60 -. An amazing connection was created as much as the time we spent together passed. Kweku lives in a shared flat with two friends. As a designers, we had to provide them with two products that could improve their daily life.
The first design consists in a lamp designed for people with reduced mobility. The main structure is made out of wood and the light is provided by three independent modules. Each one has its own source of light that can be charged by wireless connection resting them on the structure. The second design is a very intimate project for Kweku. The team re-used the wood of his old closet to create a new ergonomic and personalised wardrobe for his room.
